Photo of a Figure Skater Solves a Six-Year-Old Mystery

An amazing story out of Arlington, Texas, where a photo of a figure skater, tucked into her grandmother’s cremated remains in 2001, cracked part of a mysterious case which involved a mass grave.

Rachel Stecher, 19, came forward after several news agencies ran a story about an unknown figure skater in a blue dress. Stecher recognized herself as the young girl and came forward. She was a preteen when the photo was taken.

In 2005, the urn was found among eight others in a disturbing case at the Arlington National Cemetery
